I should clarify what I meant. :-)
In the example labeled "good link" -- offsite links to URLs of that type are
encouraged, and will work fine.
Under the example labeled "bad link" -- offsite links to URLs of that type
are discouraged, and will not work fine whether they're given as a regular
link:
<A HREF="http://www.lugnet.com/img.cgi?pause/town/lego6375b.jpg">pic</A>
or as an embedded/inline image:
<IMG SRC="http://www.lugnet.com/img.cgi?pause/town/lego6375b.jpg">
In other words, any kind of offsite direct-image JPEG links are right out.
