Eric, It looks like you have some Lego that goes as far back as the 1960's.
The 4x4 yellow corner brick was an 1960's item that has been discontinued for
over 30 years. The 1x6 & 1x8 white signs are probably from a European parts
pack (it may be Danish or Swedish perhaps - I don't think it is German) #226 -
Horst Lehner's wonderful website shows this (pack #226 in a 1965 catalog).

| Hello everyone, Alright, all you out there that know your 80s sets, help me! In my leftover brick box, I have lots of bricks that seem like they should be in a special set (ie NOT a basic set)... Some are rare/unique pieces, while other times it's (...) (25 years ago, 1-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
