Unfortunately I cannot post the pics here (yet) since they would take a while to
get accepted to Brickshelf, but I just posted a thread (with pictures) about a
rare LEGO advertisement from a man by the name of Joe Certa:

After I posted it, I realized that I had seen his artwork image before:

My new Version 3 LEGO CD has new chapters devoted to LEGO Advertising,
Department Store Catalog LEGO sales, all the LEGO logos going back to 1936, and
LEGO retailer catalogs that contain purchasing supplies, display stands, lighted
signage, and glued display models (with all the images).
There's an entire world of LEGO items beyond sets and parts....
Cheers,
Gary Istok
P.S. I've only been able to download pics for threads on this forum from other
websites (such as Brickshelf). Is there a way to download (post) them directly
from my computer hard drive?

| --snip-- (...) Short answer is no. You can, however, link to Brickshelf images before they are 'live'. You just need to keep clicking until you get a URL that ends in .jpg (or .png or .gif) and post that. Tim (16 years ago, 10-Feb-09, to lugnet.general)
