Well there are two other scams/problems I have heard of
1) Some guys wandering out of the warehouse with Star Destroyers I think it as,
and reselling them, but I cant find any original info on that anymore, was
about a year or so ago. Employees somehow getting a bunch of stock out of the
LEGO warehouses
2) A scam that I know nailed/caught a few people, basically someone has access
to full credit card/billing address information for a HUGE NUMBER of credit
cards. They then sell stuff like 10030 on eBay for way below market price.
Then buy it from shop@home, pay shop@home with a stolen credit card. Put in
your shipping address. AND MAN you are now in pocession of stolen goods, AND IT
LOOKS LIKE YOU RIPPED THE REAL PERSON OFF!!

| (...) Wow, this is really interesting. Many AFOLs could have these resold sets at home, especially if they were resold through eBay. Has there ever been a Lego-related crime on such scale? I don't recall ever seeing one. -Shiri (18 years ago, 9-Jul-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)
