Re: The wolf obviously isn't at the door yet

(...) This is really rather off topic and is not related to sponsorship but last night I went and saw some Aussie bands, and whilst the next band was setting up a little clip came up on the screen of technic men playing lego instruments on a lego (...) (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: The wolf obviously isn't at the door yet

(...) Well the real motor heads probably scoff, but LEGO Technic did support the Fox Team Larsen power tractor in 2000. Unfortunately, all the pics at the official website have had the sponsorship photoshopped out, but a quick google found this pic (...) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) So well articulated I had to agree... I know the issue is 'case closed' as far as lego is concerned but I still think... God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

The wolf obviously isn't at the door yet

Just saw this. (URL) like there's a little discretionary cash floating around. I had no idea that TLG supports motor sports. What a wonderful discovery, for me at least, to find my two favorite things, Lego and motor sports are connected :) JB (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO toy drive for disaster relief

This is my final post about toy drive until it is complete (and at which time I'll post pics of the final 'pile' and the delivery). I had to ecavuate for Hurricane Rita, but there's still a toy drive! Had I not had to evacuate, I would have posted (...) (19 years ago, 28-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) IMO, what they need is a new RIS (call it 3.0 perhaps). It would include the current RCX brick plus the current sensors and electrics. It would include a set of elements built around the current technic selection (such as the various gears in (...) (19 years ago, 28-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) I was unaware. But as you say, there are frustrations. My plan would make the entire S@H catalog available, and they could order it using the Web site and have it shipped exactly the way consumer S@H works, but they would get it at a discount (...)   Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) EXTREMELY valid point. I wouldn't want that either...I was thinking of a one-way relationship. The only thing TLG could do, perhaps, is supply new .DATs for new parts. .Steve (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Wholesale S@H: This would be a very good way to promote LEGO trains. Unlike most toys, model trains are not sold through big box stores. Hobby and small toy shops have a notoriously difficult time with LEGO because LEGO's retail distribution (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: 1972 European Basic Set That May Not Exist?

(...) OK, I just got word back from Billund.... the #077 basic set DOES exist... It was sold from Jan. 1,1971 until Dec. 31, 1972 in Germany. The set is IDENTICAL to the earlier #070 (1967-72) basic set, except for the box number. Other European (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) We are still waiting on a classic space legend set (preferably with the "old" grays; yes one more for the classic-gray vote). Personally I would love to see a "classic-space" bucket that contains pieces and instructions to build several of the (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Oops, forgot one: (...) Make rubber tires non-greasy. Or failing that, package them separately from other elements so there aren't oil smudges on everything. Steve (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Moonbus!

(...) A Greco-Roman theme. If anything, the old 1998 Erik Wilson Acropolis contest should be an inspiration for TLG: (URL) that TLG would need is to come up with a few column capitals (Doric Ionic and Corinthian), perhaps a 2x2x11 base + column (...)   Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) I have to say, I think these are excellent suggestions. I like the LEGO animals I have, but it's an odd assortment. If i were to build a zoo, there would be an elephant, a pair of polar bears, about 50 brown monkeys, and a huge herd of horses. (...) (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

(...) I agree with your sentiment. OTOH, I wouldn't have any problem with LEGO using LDraw tools in place of/as well as LDD. Especially if they'd contribute to the parts library... Steve (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)
