    1972 European Basic Set That May Not Exist? —Gerhard R. Istok
   OK, I have been scratching my head on this one for a while as I am working on completing the History of Lego CD... From 1965-72 the following basic sets were produced in continental Europe, Britain and Australia (not USA/Canada). This table is from (...) (19 years ago, 16-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

     Until Peeron gets the catalog bugs out of the system, the 1972 German catalog can be viewed here. The #077 set shown in the German catalog here, is shown as #070 in the Belgian catalog with the identical picture. (URL) you want to see the Belgian (...)    (...) OK, I just got word back from Billund.... the #077 basic set DOES exist... It was sold from Jan. 1,1971 until Dec. 31, 1972 in Germany. The set is IDENTICAL to the earlier #070 (1967-72) basic set, except for the box number. Other European (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)
