When Lego sloped bricks came out in 1958, TLG created an entire system of
slopes, namely 13 different ones.  The only one of these 13 that was
discontinued (in 1972) was the 2x2 peak with an "L" ridge line (back then this
was made in addition to the "I" 2x2 peak still used today).

It is too bad that TLG doesn't give us a more complete "System" for other Lego
slopes, etc.

The low sloped (33 degree) bricks come in 1x3, 2x3, 3x3, 4x3 slopes, 3x3 double
convex slope, and the 2x2 and 2x4 ridge bricks.  It would be nice if TLG came
out with a 3x3 double concave slope, a 2x2 "1/2 pyramid" ridge slope, and
possibly some 2x2 ridge bricks with an "L", "T", and "X" ridge.

For steep slope bricks, it would be nice if TLG came out with a 2x2x3 double
concave slope.

One other area of Lego that could use a more complete "system" is the Log brick.
These can make for some nice architectural additions to any Lego building.
Unfortunately, TLG needs to make available a 1x1 log brick, a 1x1 corner log
brick (with design on 2 perpendicular sides), and a 2x2 corner log brick.  This
way stable constructions can be built with the Log bricks. I am building an Art
Deco office building using the log bricks as a "terra cotta" facade, but because
you have limited "staggering" of the bricks, it is rather unstable.

Another area that could use some additions to the "system" is arches.  Most of
the arches are rounded or "Roman" arches.  It would be nice to have some Gothic
pointed arches as well (perhaps in 3 or 4 sizes).

And another area that could use a "system" is the 2x2 round bricks.  These make
great columned Greek Temple fronts (or if you have enough of these in white, you
can make an entire temple).  It would be nice to have some white "capitals" of
the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian variety that we all learned about in school.
Once in a while TLG comes out with a capital for some exotic set, but never one
of the 3 Greek orders (a Composite and Tuscan capital would be nice too).  And
with TLG's zeal for Juniorization, they could even come out with some "fluted"
one piece columns (say 8 bricks tall) in white.

Just dreamin'........
