Well, technically it was 2 weeks ago, but anyways, we were out garage-sailing
(or however you would spell it) and stopped by a church rummage sale...there
didn't seem to be much, but I saw a box under the table (had a lego logo on it).
Upon closer inspection, it was a mindstorms box (with a lot of tape).  I grabbed
it, figuring it was full of wooden blocks or barbie stuff, but upon opening, I
discovered a complete 1.0 mindstorms.  I started sifting through the parts, and
found the RCX, tower, and just about everything else.  I figured it was going to
be expensive, but I saw a $3.00 tag on the box.  I snatched it, took it up to
the desk, and viola!  I had it complete for $3.00.  As a bonus, it also had a
znap 3552 (bonus motor & battery box).  I just thought I would share this with
everyone.  It put a big grin on my face :)

(...) What? You mean you did not haggle?!? ;) Well done; that is quite a find. Whenever I get good Lego cheap I often think that the person selling it did not actually buy it (i.e. it was a gift) and so views it as an inexpensive toy. Scott A (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
