Hi all,
I've seen various models on Brickshelf which have nice roofs - one main
roof with a perpendicular roof jutting out, joining neatly. I believe the
correct term is "cross gable roof", but I'm not sure that's right. One
such example is on this excellent piece here:
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/2639, which has this twice. The main
building has a roof which has a perpendicular roof which is the same
height as the main roof. The smaller building's roof is crossed with the
roof of the bridge/corridor, which only extends to about half the height
of the smaller building's roof.

Anyway, I've looked into this and I've found a series of pieces that this
roof design needs but that I've never seen on any models which contain any
of these. Does anyone know where I can get any number of these in black?

The Guarded Inn has one of these - is there any way to get these in higher
numbers?

I've seen these in 3x3 form at the lego online shop - where can I get 2x2
equivalents?

Following the roof theme, this could be a handy piece for building large
roofs. Any sets where I can get these in any colour (black, grey or white
preferably):

As you can see, I've having real trouble finding roof pieces from any
source other than the online lego shop's limited selection. I'm a AFOL
newbie and I don't really know where to start looking.

Thanks,
Quboid

Lego made this black slope brick pack about 4 years ago, that's why people have large numbers of them. However the "half pyramid" and "gable connector" are rarer. Let's hope they do another steep roof brick pack soon. -Erik (21 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
