I’m not quite getting it. Plone looks cool, but what exactly are you proposing people do? Or, are you merely putting this site out there to make people aware?

Just pointing out that there is no need for anyone in the lego community to build something from scratch. There are numerous community-run site platforms out there that can be set up pretty quickly, and many of them are open-source.

If the community wants a site, all it needs is a server, and someone to set it up the software. Everything else is just excuses.

(...) What kind of iron does it need to run on? Looks like we are getting two Xeon rackmounts this week for LUGNET. Does your code base run on Linux or Windoze? --Todd (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)
