The LEGO USB Dongle The whole thing consists of 7 1x3 bricks of which one is used as a cap for the USB socket, there are also two 1x3 plates at the top and the bottom to 'seal' the (w)hole thing.         Re: Homebrewed LEGO USB Dongle —Thomas Stangl
Very nice! I have a Cigar Pro wasting away somewhere, maybe I'll convert it. The US Modular 32Mb I have looks like it would work with 6 1x3s. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Homebrewed LEGO USB Dongle —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think calling them dongles is a misnomer... they are memory sticks.       (...) Memory stick makes me think Sony, but sure, yeah! It has proven to be an accurate way to separeate the geekiest from the would-be geek. Mere memory-stick user: It's too big! True geek: Oo! I can see the LED! (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

Hi Larry, (...) yes, that made me think it was something like IrDA or maybe even Mindstorms IR.         Re: Homebrewed LEGO USB Dongle —Bryan Beckwith
(...) -- snip -- I'm always amazed at the things people manage to house in LEGO. I seem to recall someone putting their PDA guts into a LEGO case a long time ago. Very cool shtuff! If I ever find a cheap memory stick, I might have to make one of (...) (21 years ago, 7-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)
