During the course of conversations (since most of the time I love hearing the

mentioned numerous impolite calls they have received, and were quite sincere

being rude and profane on the phone about it.  As well, there have been a
few obscene e-mails and the like.

I don't know who you are or from what rock you may have crawled out from
under, but nothing, I repeat, *nothing* that TLC has done warrants this
type of behaviour.

In unison:  "HI DAVE!!!"

As someone who has come down on the opposite side of this issue, I would like to
repeat what Dave has said.  There is no call for people to be profane or abusive
with the folks at TLC or with fellow AFOLs or Brick Enthusiasts, or whatever you
choose to call yourself.  Remember that the "A" in AFOL stands for Adult, not
[synonym for "donkey-pit" deleted].

Regardless of what TLC does or doesn't do about this issue, we'll all survive.
Take it from me (!!!) ticking people off doesn't help you to make your point.

p.s.  Yeah, I know I've stepped across the "civil" line up here a few times now.
I've probably even stepped across the "obsessive" line, too.  Well trust me, I'm
trying to be better about that on both counts.

p.p.s.  I took this out of .rtlToronto because it has been made clear to me that
they don't (for the most part) want to talk about this subject in their local
newsgroup.
