Cold Temperature Limitations to ABS?

Hi all,
I've seen lots of stories about heat damage to LEGO, the most impressive being a
German pictorial of LEGO at various temperatures - it was very "The
Disintegration of [Plastic] Memory".
BUT
has anyone looked into cold damage? I mean, really cold damage - like liquid
nitrogen or dry ice. I know I've cracked a plastic thermos hauling liquid
nitrogen for a custom St. Patrick's Day Chilled Guinness Infusion (it wasn't
sealed up tight, so the cracking was due to thermal stresses, not
pressure-related).
How about ABS? Would liquid nitrogen boiling in a Belville bucket break the ABS
like a brittle biscuit? Would dry ice resting on a plate cause it to distort or
snap?
