This is just a brief note to remind everyone of this upcoming event.  For those
who may not yet be familiar with 'The Hobby Show' I wanted to take a minute to
give you an overview.  It is a large public show which focuses on a variety of
hobbies and all aspects related to them.  You will see model trains, RC cars,
quilting, Meccano models and the list goes on.

For full details, please visit the show's website:
http://www.thehobbyshow.com/

The show is comprised of booths which sell hobby supplies and booths which are
run by clubs and organizations to display their work.  This year, for the first
time in the show's 25 year history, there will be a booth for adult LEGO fans to
present their models.  This will be a display booth only... in other words, this
isn't a competition of any kind, nor is this really a 'Brickfest' style event.
This is for those who love to build with LEGO bricks and would like the
opportunity to share their interest with the general public.  The show typically
draws 25,000+ visitors over its three day run each year.  (This year's show is
November 7, 8, 9, 2003)

This posting is an open invitation for any of you to join us.  We have already
been alloted our booth space and have begun to have people offer to be there for
one, two or all three days.  You can find full details about this group and more
about the show at this address:

http://www.apotome.com/hobbyshow/index.html

I have already sent out one email update notice to builders who have contacted
me indicating an interest in participating.  If you did not receive that email
last month, but would like to receive future updates, please email me at:

bricks@apotome.com
(please include the words 'Hobby Show' in the title of the email, so that your
message is not confused with spam!)

Please keep in mind that contacting me is not a contract which forces you to
attend.  I would simply like to keep eveyone up-to-date who is interested in
'possibly' attending the show.  We still have room available for you to bring
your models (large and small) and show them off to those who attend the show.
As well, it will provide a casual unstructured meeting opportunity to chat with
other LEGO fans about our favorite topic.

So... who should email me?

rtlToronto guys!  I know that some of you are hoping to attend, and that others
of you are busy with your other events.  I hope to hear from at least a few more
of you shortly, so I can add you to the list.  Please take a minute to drop me a
quick note.  :)

Ontario builders!  Anyone in the Ontario region who wishes to attend.  Again, it
can be for 1 - 3 days, but please let me know if you're interested... it will
help us plan better for a better looking display.  Remember, you do not have to
promise to attend... only express an interest.  If you do wish to attend,
remember that there are no fees or other costs associated with this show, other
than your travel and lodging.  Admittance to the show will be free.

Anyone else!  This is a wide open invitation.  If you are an adult LEGO builder
looking for a display opportunity like this then let me know.  We'd be happy to
have you attend with us!

I will post this today and hope to hear from a few more of you in the next few
days.  Next weekend I will send out the July update email.  If you'd like to be
on the mailing list, be sure to let me know A.S.A.P.  The show is now just 4
months away... get building!  :)

Thanks everyone!

Best regards,
Allan B.
