Anybody tried removing those tyres?

I hadn't, but since I don't have any use for them I checked it out a bit.

With success?

Yes and no.  I _was_ able to get the rim edge to peel away from part of
the rim by trying to roll the outer corner of the tire over with my thumb,
which opened enough of a gap that I could slip a small screwdriver between
the tire and the rim.  After getting it started, it was pretty easy to
continue pulling the tire loose, but I stopped at about 1/4" of rim, so I
can't guarantee that it would not cause any damage at all.  I also have no
idea how the rim is shaped inside of the tire, so it's possible that it
might not be just a simple wrap-around tire.  One possibility for this
design is that they might actually form the tire around the rim, rather than
attaching it later.

The same wheels also come with some of the new Racers motorcycles.

The H.O.T Blaster Bike and Exo Force Bike both come with one of these
"high performance" tires for the front wheel, while the Nitro Stunt Bike and
Extreme Power Bike do not use them at all.  The rest of the wheels in the
group all have a matching hub, but the rim is about 1/2 stud wider.  The HBB
and EFB use a street tire on the rear wheel (three narrow bands in the
center, and a "C" shaped motif along the edges, also used on the Slammer
G-Force), and the NSB and EPB use the larger rims for both wheels, but with
a more general purpose tire (diagonal bands of four triangular cutouts from
one side to the other).

The Slammer Rhino also has new wheels but they are separate from their tyres.

Those tires appear to be the same as the ones used on the NSB and EPB.
