It would be important to point out that certain
file types cannot be supported by bricklink, those
including html files and of course, any images that
are in a native camera format other than .jpg, .gif
or .bmp. When uploaded, certain files not supportable
by the system will be automatically deleted, explaining
your empty folders.
I'd suggest accessing the images via their respective
editors, and then exporting them to .jpg format.
(forget about .bmps, as files, they take immense
periods of time to load. .gifs really aren't needed
unless you're generating animations.)
Of course, it could all be an error with the file
name as well :)
