Hi all,
was wandering on the net and spotted this...
http://www.toymania.com/news/messages/2610.shtml
The short of it (from the press release):
MONTREAL, Nov. 12 - Mega Bloks Inc. today announced that it has agreed to enter
into licensing agreements with Disney Consumer Products and its affiliates, for
the creation of construction toys featuring beloved Disney(R) characters,
including Disney's Winnie the Pooh(R), Disney Princesses and classic characters
and Power Rangers (R). The Disney agreement is global in scope, while the Power
Rangers agreement covers all major markets where Mega Bloks distributes its
Micro products, except Japan.
(Incidentally, I have a few Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea sets, done by a Chinese
company..cheesy parts, but the minifigs aren't that bad)
The upside is that there could be a nice assortment of items. The downside is
that TLC's not involved.
(sigh)
