I'm pretty sure he didn't know these are sets highly valued by FOL's. BTW I
only buy from kids if their parents are present and completely aware of the
entire transaction. I spoke to his mom-- she asked if I had any LEGO because
there probably were a few pieces missing.
So far we have built the SES and it was missing only five pieces-- two 1x1
black plates, a gray flagpole, a black 2x3 45 degree slope, and-- the only
thing I actually had to go down to the basement to find-- a black flexible hose
with ends. The sails appeared never to have been put on, although other pieces
were dusty. I didn't realize how cool pirate ships are BTW!
The 6597 seems mostly there but the 6346 and 6981 seem to be missing a lot.

Yeah, I'm sure there are those on Lugnet who would say I should have given him
more for the sets because I knew their value, but garage sale prices tend to be
bargain prices and I wasn't about to say, "Hey, let me give you 75 bucks for
the SES (or Century Skyway) alone" out of the goodness of my heart! If anyone
has a beef they can take it to .debate where the issue is/has been widely
discussed.
