Hey all,
At least one of the 2002 sets has made it to the West coast! I snapped up
one of these (can't remember the set #, believe it's called "Mission Deep
Sea") and after I discovered all the great parts, I immediately wished I'd
bought at least three more! It's fairly well-designed for such a small set,
especially how the trans-antifreeze jewels are used to represent eyes, but
the new parts are the coolest:
New! One trans-re 1x2x1 thin-wall. It has printing, but that's why we keep
Brasso handy!
One trans-antifreeze spear. I believe this is also a first.
One trans-antifreeze 1x1 rocket end w/fins. Have these been out of
production for awhile?
New! Upper and lower trans-red new cockpit pieces. I really like these and
see lots of possibilities for them!
Two red 4x4 cylinders with Technic friction pin sockets on opposing sides.
Don't know if these are new.
Two more black Bionicle three-fingered claws. Love these!
Last, but not least, four three-sectioned Dinosaur tails for tentacles. Way
cool!
However, my favorite new piece is on Ogel himself. He's sporting a
trans-red minifig hook on his left arm! Now I can look forward to building
custom alien 'figs in two translucent skin colors!
I looked for pictures of this set online, but couldn't find any. Could
someone post a link so that others will know what I'm describing?
