I'd really like to see real pics of the part especially from the back side.

Brickbay calls this part 'Slope 45 2 x 2 Double Concave / Double Convex'. I
can't picture what it would look like and the name itself is an oxymoron.
Prices range from $5.00 = 12.00. It must be very rare. (?) Enlighten me.

Hi Aaron!
It's the top of a roof on an angled house. It used to be part of the roof
accessories packs back in the 80's.

(...) If you have some kind of Ldraw varient, you can look at the DAT file: (URL) a roof peak corner. You can also get a good idea of what it looks like by combining the sloped parts of these two pieces: (2 URLs) that helps, James (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) It's used (in blue) in set 322 from 1965; the scannings at BrickShelf is unfortunately a bit blurred, but you could get an idea of how it looks. Arne (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)
