I had noticed this some time ago, but thought I was just going blind...

I've not seen it recently, so I guess that is a good thing.

Ugh. There are 3 distinct shades of plain yellow bricks in my collection. • I
thought they came from different sources, but, I have just sorted a single
baggy with 2 distinct shades of yellow 2x2 bricks. YUCK! I am not talking
about light yellow and regular yellow, these are plain Lego Yellow bricks
but half of them have a greenish tinge reminiscent of cheese. I also have
many that are either more or less saturated yellow.

In full light it's hard to detect, but it becomes obvious when the light • is
dimming.

That I have just got a mixture out of a single polybag means that they • were
randomly mixed together at the source.

These bricks were in 1998 anniversary blue tubs.

One of my friends says he likes the variegated effect, but I don't. They • are
extremely hard to tell apart until they are already used.
