I discovered that a table that used to take the three pieces on the right to
build now comes as a single element.

On the bright side I suppose it won't be such a letdown for kids to discover

I can understand not liking juniorization in Lego.  I'm not a fan of the
juniorization in Lego either.  I do think it would be okay if they had "Lego
Junior" sets instead of juniorizing everything.  In regards to Duplo, I
think that juniorization is fine there.  The blocks are designated for
younger children may have a hard time balancing the plates on the block.  I
have both versions of the table and prefer the juniorized table.  There is
also a rectangular table made the same way.
