I applaud you, Bryan, for making the right choice. I'd like to think
many(sadly, not all) Lugnetters would've done the same in your situation.
That's one of my favorite reasons for collecting Lego(as opposed to other
things I used to/still collect). I think many AFOLs view Lego and building
with a kind of conscious reverence to youth and the future of Lego
collecting/collectors and not the "ME!ME!ME!NOW!NOW!NOW!" attitude of many
other collecting groups. I personally don't have a fort Legoredo for myself
yet, but I'll be keeping an eye open for a pair!
