I just picked up a small box of Lego in a garage sale. Aside from nabbing
over a dozen minifig's, I got the biggest plate I've ever seen. It is a
black 6x24! Did these come in many sets??? I have a fairly substantial
collection, and I've never come across one...

| (...) I have a mess of those plates in grey, from the Res-Q headquarters (which had two, IIRC). I don't know where the black one comes from, but I would assume it's from a train--when I sold a clutch of the grey ones, that's what the buyer wanted (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.general)
