I just finished making several Lego minifig chess
sets using several different themes. I got the idea
from the Ultimate Lego Book, which has a Western chess
set example. My goal was to make a "normal" size set
that fit on a standard chess board. I ended up making
a Castle, Forestmen, Western, and even a Star Wars set.
You can see them at:

My favorite is the Star Wars theme.

Tom
ps. If you don't want to build one yourself, I have
one up for auction on Ebay. Search for "Lego Chess Set"
