Hi!
I just tried to make an announcement in Lugnet.announce, but was
rejected because the 'follow-up' field was not set.

Anders,  I am just waiting for a chess game, so I will attempt a help post
here; someone who knows better can jump in.

I believe the announcement group requires the follow-up field to be set to
something other than the announcement  group (to keep announcement a clean
on-topic  group for just announcements).  When you are posting the message
you have to select an alternative(s) groups for follow-ups to go to.

To do this, you simply fill in the Followup-To field (in the header of your
new message) with the groups that you wish to designate the followups to.
The one problem that you might be having is that this field is not visible
when you type in your message.  Once you are in the compose window, go to
menu item <View> and select <full headers>.  This should expose several more
fields for you to fill in; one of them being the Followup-To field.  By
clicking on the icon of that field you can just select from a list... rather
that having to type in all the names.

Good luck... I got to go kick some Chess butt :)
