Two different 6987s?

Howdy,
I was just comparing my two 6987s and I noticed that in the building
instructions that few steps were different. In both of the instruction
manuals steps 26 and 27 are different. In one 2 turn-tables are required
while in the other one there are 2 technic pieces used. When the set is
compleated the piece combination serve the same function. I just want to
know if there is a major difference in the sets?
