=:^o Nope, your reply absolutely positively should not have gone to
lugnet.announce.
Your post wound up over here because Simon set the Followup-To field of his
article to lugnet.general. Note that lugnet.announce is a group for making
announcements; it's not a discussion group. As such, the newsserver
requires that posts sent to lugnet.announce have the Followup-To set to a
different group, so that followup articles don't accidentally go there.
All is well. :)
