  End of week speculation?

Any speculation on what Brad J's end of week announcement might be? Bryan (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: End of week speculation?

(...) Good question! I have been eagerly awaiting it. Personally, I think it's one of two things: 1) More bricks available via bulk ordering 2) Official announcement of the 2001 Star Wars sets. If this one, I hope it comes with pictures of (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: End of week speculation?

(...) Well here's my "too good to be true" speculation...... They are going to allow us to buy any bricks/parts that the model shops have access to, as well as some old discontinued parts..... (light blue bricks... 1x2x2 windows in black, gray, and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: End of week speculation?

I think announcing new bulk pieces on a Friday wouldn't be the wisest of ideas. That would be based on the many many comments I have read about the weekend order takers. Of course, if new bulk was announced today, I'm sure y'all would be more than (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Unfortunately, that's no gauge as to whether or not it's something Lego would do. eric (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I've heard that the next catalog will be much bigger and that LEGO is reorganizing (??) their service packs (or what ever you want to call them). Sure hope it's true :) Ryan -- (URL) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: End of week speculation?

(...) Hmmm...'all the parts the model shop has access to' isn't all that much, compared to our misconception of model shops. In fact, model shop designers are restricted to parts currently available (though in odd colors in obscene quantities). (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: End of week speculation?

(...) ideas. (...) I want the announcement to happen. Ordering is secondary. They can say we can't order till next week for all I care... Even if we're on rotation, we'll still have a month. However my opinion is colored by the fact that I leave for (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: End of week speculation?

(...) Everyone seems to hope it is more types of bricks. I have an alternative wish. I wish they would implement lego direct outside of the US like they said. It is late summer now after all (summers pretty short in the UK remember). You US folks (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)
