Hi there,

I am currently writing a project to directly control the RCX using the ActiveX
controls in C++ and am wondering is there a way of sending information to
different RCXs using the functions provided?

Two solutions I have thought of are:

1) There may be some way of addressing the commands being sent such that only
certain RCXs will listen to certain commands, although I have not heard
anything about this functionality.  Or

2) I have heard something about being able to send signals from the PC such
that I could have a program running on each RCX that is listening for
different signals.

Does anybody know if either of these are possible or indeed any possible
solutions to controlling more than one RCX.  I would appreciate any
suggestions, pointers to information websites about this or any help at all
with this.

Cheers,

Rob.

(...) This is probably the one you want. The PC can send the same signals that the RCXs send between each other -- the message function. This message can be between 0 and 255. Make 0-127 be for one robot, 128-255 for the other. Or something like (...) (24 years ago, 2-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.robotics)
