I was looking around on the net and saw some stop motion movies. I was
wondering what I could do with my brand new download of pov-ray and l3p. and
then it hit me, raytraced Lego movies, (ideas not entirely mine,
www.spacebattles.com gave me the idea to raytrace stuff) I mean the options
are slightly more numerous because you could create realistic explosions, or
whatever. I just need to start reading that help file with povray, maybe get
a couple of animation products of some sort. Has anyone tried this before?
oh btw I finally started working on a program to split LDraw files into
separate steps and then if it's okay, send each one through l3p and then
through povray. It might even have a snazzy windows interface, depends
wether I really start it in VB rather than prototyping or actually do it in
c++.

| I've started on this myself. You can see my first try at: (URL) look under the M:tron HQ section. The page isn't well done yet, and I haven't put up my best movie so far, because it's quite large and I've been buzy. Basically you use pov-ray's clock (...)
