These tins were also a "UK Tesco exclusive" last year. Benjamin's set list
(below) is correct: 2880 Jeep, 2886 Formula 1, 2849 Gyrocopter and 2884
Ultra-light.

The UK tins have two labels: 1 on the side declaring the ingredients (it's a
requirement here in the UK) and that they were produced by Ripensa of
Denmark; 1 on the lid showing which set is inside. Both labels have UK
reference numbers...

G'day,

Looks like their getting around....We had them in Aus about 1 year ago. • They
are in a blue 'town-jr' tin, and come with 3 layers of biscuits and 1 set • [a
white jeep, a black F1, a 'gyrocopter' or an ultra-light, I think] Is this
correct?

Okay, so I just randonly browse/lurk on the LUGNET NG's especially for
the past couple years and I've never seen what I saw/bought today
anywheres else....but I'm sure lots know about them.

I was in a local "discount" department store and they have
these tins of
cookies (choc. chip abd butter) and they contain a small (very small)
lego set.  This is real true valid LEGO stuff.  There are
four different
sets total.

The one tin that I bought contains set 2880.

The tins have pictures of various town scenes from at least a year or
two or three ago.

On lugnet the release date for set 2880 is cited as 1997.

Anyhow, the tins are selling at this store for $4.99 CDN (approx $3.34
USD) and they have several that most likely won't move too
fast (as in,
getting 20 more in the next three weeks wouldn't be a problem.)

I'd like to know some more information that anyone has as to
when where
and why these were released as this past month was the first
time I ever
saw them and I never remember seeing them in any other stores before.

Also, if anyone is interested if this is like a good price or
something
let me know.  I'd be really interested in trades.  Mind you the whole
tin would be a bit for shipping (~1 kg with cookies, tin, and
LEGO).....but to ship the LEGO itself shouldn't be too bad
(the cookies
are absolutely terrible though - taste like garbage)

Thanks,
Tim
