Were there any figures released separately or are these figures that have
been "made up" from existing ones?

Actually, separately released figures (usually with some small
accessories) were the bread and butter of Fabuland releases.  Check the
Pause list at

oops, sorry, I should have also said that we had spent the week looking at
pause and a number of other sites looking for information :-) Unless there
are other sets that aren't listed,  I've got a bunch of cannibalised
figures!

Also, we found a tree that we thought was Fabuland, but closer inspection
showed that it lacked the Lego logo and was a different shape. Does • anyone
know anything about this particular range of "fake" Fabuland?

[snip]

had a look at Pause (again) just in case, but this tree doesn't appear in
any of the scans. it looks like an early Fabuland tree (no decoration) but
the top half is a different shape but still has the holes like Fabuland. The
base (where it connects to the studs) looks the same as the real Fabuland
tree I have. I really suspect it is a Fake Fabuland piece.

I'll try to arrange a scan so that you'll have a better idea of what i mean.

thanks!

I hope you have seen my page about Fabuland too. (
http://members.tripod.com/~Sybrand_Bonsma/fabu1eng.html ) It contains a
list of contents of most of the Fabuland sets. I still have to work out
the bigger sets and I'm working on a list of figures. The tree you
mentioned doesn't seem familiar to me, but I don't know of any fake
Fabuland pieces. A scan of the parts would help.

Please let me know when you found out if the parts are fake of real.

Greetings
Sybrand Bonsma
