According to a person in Lego Australia, Lego Direct will only be selling a
limited range of sets, which will be based on the US range. Apparently this
is so shops will continue to stock lego. Unfortunately, I can see that the
only sets available will be the few that Lego Australia also have, thereby
making Lego direct of little to no use to us down here.

In other news, apparently service packs are also dead :-(

Also, a note to other Aussies, the reason we get the sets we do is not just
Lego Aus's fault [Although they do deserve some of the blame], but also the
fault of major shops/chains such as Myers, BigW, K-Mart,Toy world, etc., as
they decide what they want in their stores, and Lego only bring in what they
want, not what everyone else wants. If Lego Australia were to run a version
of the US's shop-at-home service...AND advertise this, then they would both
get more sales, and maybe be able to lower the cost for us.
