I *think* TLG announced the new logo around the beginning of 1998, and slowly
phased it in over 1998-1999. Check the press releases archive on the official
site -- I think the exact date can be found there...

| (...) This is bizarre, I was in the Outlet store today and I noticed this. All sets from 1998 and before have the old logo, and 1999 on have the new one. KL (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)
