I'd vote for another "Best Alternate Model" category (and not just 'cause • I
won it in Pat's contest.)  Alternate models require a lot of creativity, • and
offer other fans the opportunity to build the model after purchasing just • one
set.

Could this be taken a step further?  I think offering categories for certain
models would be nicer.  Pitting an alternate desert skiff model against an
alternate Tie/Y-Wing wouldn't be competitive.

An alternate model category seems like a good idea as people don´t have to
spend loads of money to create something that can enter the contest. But
splitting it into alternate models for each set or price/pieces range would be
something that TLC could do. More possible categories would be best rebel
fighter, best imperial figther, best Millenium Falcon, best ground vehicle and
so on.
