I'm jealous, I'm jealous! Seriously, I only had a chance to look at your
classic wooden box find, and I was totally impressed. The box looks as
though it has never been played with, the white bricks appear to be whiter
than some of my new ones, and the clear bricks show no yellowing (I assume
the background is responsible for the golden cast on them in some of the
pictures).
What I particularly appreciate is seeing the literature that shows the
cars. Now I know that of the five LEGO HO scale vehicles I found at a
garage sale last summer (25 cents each, but I found five so I got them all
for a dollar), only my Opel Rekord is missing its little garage. Evidently
the VW buses and transporters never came with them (?). Wow, and you have
the big VW garage and the spring mechanism for opening the garage door....
As soon as I stop seeing green (envy, of course!) I will go back and view
the rest of your finds. Anyway, I agree, this was definitely a Good Find
(was this one from an ad in a supermarket?).
