Hello Brad (& Co.),
I have a question for the future.
2001 will be an anniversary of sorts.... 40 years of LEGO in the USA. I
remember the Silver Anniversary bucket from 1998 was to celebrate 25
years of LEGO, but that dates only back to 1973, when TLC purchased the
USA LEGO license back from Samsonite (the start of Enfield Connecticut
USA Headquarters). As many of us know, LEGO has been around in the USA
since 1961, not 1973. So does the company plan on anything for the real
anniversary? Or don't the Samsonite years count?
I am working on doing a LEGO 40th Anniversary display at a Detroit
museum, and was wondering if the company will be recognizing 2001. That
anniversary would certainly give AFOLs and LEGO reps a good reason for a
national/regional Legofest or Convention.
