Interesting thing about 080 is that it never appeared in the UK catalogues
AFAIK. First there was 010 to 070, then it went to 011 to 088 Super Set
(with motor). However, 080 was in the French catalogue, and if you asked for
a UK toy shop to get it for you, they could (and in my case, did). It was
still an 080 when it came.
And, yes, I do have vague memories of the actual baseplates being slightly
'wrong'.
