I didn't see an ad for it, but in my quest for Slave 1, I went into
Service Merchandise and found the same situation. I asked, and was told
that the same sale should be in every store (so I am hoping other SM's
nearby have a better selection). I don't know what their invoice is all
about, but for an idea of the sale prices... most sets were about 25% off,
except Ninja and Cyber Slam and a few others were closer to 40% off. Maybe
they got those at a cheaper invoice price because they ordered larger
quantities? Maybe the invoice is like car invoice prices (a figment of
someone's imagination). I don't know what its all about, but it might be
worth checking out if you like either of those themes (both themes have some
strange pieces, too!) The sale is all week, through Christmas eve! I also
noticed tonight that the Targets with new 2000 sets didn't have anything on
sale, while those that were only carrying prior years' sets had minor
discounts on a few sets.

| If anyone hasn't seen sunday's paper, service merchandise has an ad running that states "all toys at invoice cost, till christmas." I went by to check and picked up a stone tower bridge for 30, a ninja's flying fortress for 20, a rock raider chrome (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
