I noticed the same thing.  Those Rock Raider sets seem to have a lot of
one-use or big molded pieces, like those black pilars on the Rock Raiders
base.  They should be a bunch of round 2x2s, but they don't look like it.
The space port stuff appears to have a lot of those too.  I really hate
those 1x6x5 wall pieces.

Well, after reviewing the clearer images on Lugnet (thanks Todd and Richard!), I must say I'm thankful for the Star Wars line, because the rest of LEGO's 1999 offerings are uninspired to say the least. This oversimplified, non-building-oriented (...) (26 years ago, 6-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
