Re: LEGO Facts and Figures - tolerance on part sizes

(...) This doesn't line up with what Jake said about plate height tolerance last June: (URL) He said it was 3.2mm +/-0.1mm, twenty times the tolerance quoted above. What publication was the 0.005mm tolerance taken from - can the relevant part of it (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) Glad to hear your designs might be available to purchase one way or the other. But that brings up an interesting question. Assuming a 5% royalty to the designer from sets created and sold through LEGO Factory, would it make financial sense to (...)   Re: Lego Factory Contest results

Thanks for the kind words. I agree with you that the idea the Lego company has with regards to creating other sets would be a good one, given the substantial number of very nice creations that did not win. It would be nice to see some of my designs (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) I actually voted for the pirate ship model but I have to agree with you that it is both wrong and suspicious that that person won for four entries. It was wrong, as you said, to allow one person to win more than once. It is suspicious that out (...) (...) MEGA CUT (...) At this time I have to add nothing that I didn't write in my post ((URL)). I agree 100% with you. I hope TLC will do something because a builder can't win 4 times... it is not right. Regards, Luca (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Lego Factory Contest results

Hi all, I'm sure most of you know that the Lego Factory contest ended on Monday and the winners have been announced. My son's design (car dealer) was in the running and it looked as if he was going to be one of the winners until early Monday (...)   Should we ask TLG to use correct USA Anniversary Year?

Well here we are in 2005, and it is the 50th Anniversary of the Lego System of Play. And it is also the 50th Anniversary for Lego in Sweden. In the next 7 years there will be the 50th Anniversary of Lego in (2006) Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

Re: 50 Years - Lego System of Play

(...) OK, what confused me was that some of these things are still one piece today juniorization?), such as trees and roadsigns. And the 1:87 cars/trucks were in existence 7 years before any Lego wheels came out. So some of these things that might (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)
