  Buckets on the Brain

If this issue has already been addressed, then please forgive me. I've searched the Lugnet set database but could not find the answer to my question. I realize that this issue could EASILY be addressed by simply buying one of the sets in question, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.color, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: The first Lego color change of 1962-70

Great post Garry, but I wanted to remind everyone to keep the color discussion in lugnet.color. FUT: lugnet.color Thanks Frank Filz (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

(...) There is a third option: 3. Posts about color issues go in lugnet.color, not in lugnet.general... obviating the need for 1 & 2. (...) Hey man... That's true... But it's been asked of everyone to please -not- post about color issues in (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!

(...) Hi Terry, I'm still upset about it too. (...) Randall is probably as upset about hearing complaints from people like us as we are about the color change. The best thing we can do to honor requests from Randall and others is to talk about it in (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.color) !

  Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!

(...) The problem is not having debates on LUGNET. The problem is having the same debate, over and over, with the same people saying the same things, and the same conclusions. (...) Paulo (and others) - Please set followups appropriately. Complaints and reiterations of complaints about the color change belong in lugnet.color, not lugnet.general. See: (URL) -> lugnet.color -Tim (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

(...) Let's see. Imagine if you will, that I have a problem. Now I see that the fact that I have a problem is a problem to you. Otherwise, if I do not have a problem, you have certainly a problem for stating that I do have a problem. Either way it (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

The first Lego color change of 1962-70

Well I see that the color change of 2004 has generated some strong emotions... The first color change (of modern Lego starting in 1957) was that of 1962-70. TLG replaced Cellulose Acetate with ABS Plastic, and in doing so the colors red, yellow and (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

  Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!

(...) I blame TLC for this man's sadness. 2003 just raised everyone's expectations too high. Along with some truly inspired set designs, I think 2003 saw a genuine change in direction closer to the "true" Lego values as I see them, and I haven't (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)
