  Re: A fan no more

Can I have a HUGE round of applause for Dave here? This sounds like someone who loves LEGO, but at the same time, also understands that LEGO is trying to do what it can to get sales from a larger market--in light of many companies who have grown (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Well, I was more or less responding to your bit on the fact that you thought Lego seemed to think kids were stupid and needed to be spoon fed. However, I suppose the color change and the set design issues are related to what I'm talking about. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Your Organizational Genius is Needed...

(...) Two things that I've seen pop up often enough are to pay "interested parties" (your kids, neighborhood kids, fellow AFOLs, etc.) in bricks to help you sort, and to sort by shape rather than color. It's probably faster to sort by color than (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Your Organizational Genius is Needed...

Help!! What on Earth was I thinking? A few weeks ago I looked around at all the various tubs, cans, boxes, and other containers I have lying about, filled with various LEGO elements, so I thought I would be smart (HA!) and inventory it...y'know, get (...)   Anyone have instructions for set #309 (Church)?

I was looking for something on Peeron today and quite by accident stumbled upon this set: (URL) there are no instructions linked from Brickshelf. The design of the building struck me as interesting, especially when I saw the piece count for the 1x2 (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.inst)

IMO this all is summed up in the change from the slogan "Just Imagine . . . " to "Play On!". Bruce (22 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: A fan no more

My complaints don't really concern the "fad" aspects of the Lego themes. I think licensing is an awesome way to diversify a product if it's done right. I would buy some of the new Castle, Star Wars, and HP sets regardless because there are some cool (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)
