  Re: AFOLs - The comic!

Having never touched a LEGO piece before I was 35, the comic excerpts are right on - keep them coming. (22 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

It sounds like a work of scholarship that is long awaited in English. Having translated some texts from foreign languages I surely appreciate not having to jump through hoops to make any sense. Can't Wait! Any thoughts on a companion to the above (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) Hey thats the same combo I made at first ;) I really do like this set - lots of great parts and very nice designs to make. The ONLY thing I do not like about it is how the click hinges connect to the 1x2 bricks with the hole in it. For example (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) You are very welcome. I agree this is one of the best sets I have seen all year, and a great deal. I'm really torn because I want to keep the great looking T-Rex but I also want to use the parts. I may have to buy another one. Happy building. (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) <Snip> Gary, Outstanding! I've been dreaming of a book like this and can't wait to get a read. I got my first LEGO sets in the early 1960's and they didn't survive my younger siblings' abuse, alas, they are no more. So it will be great to see (...)   Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

That sounds like an awesome project and I would be interested in purchasing one when made available. I'm always looking in toy catalogs for old lego toys and their worth but haven't had any luck. I'm sure that much of the LUGNET community (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

Could you please say something in your reference about collector value being different in other parts of the world compaired to North Amerika? We would hate to see prices here being off as a result of what you are going to state in your "standard (...)   Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Well thanks for the encouragement folks! The main reason that I came out with this information early was that I could get feedback from AFOLs. One possibility would be to give you folks an option, by coming out with both a book and a CD. Also (...) (...) Thank You, Thank You! This only affirms that this set is one of the best of 2004. The dark red piece selection is fantastic! Not to mention other useful colors and unusual pieces, and at a price point of $30 USD! Jeramy (22 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) The last page of the instruction booklet is a part inventory. I uploaded a few shots of that page from my digital camera. Sorry I don't have a scanner but the images are readable. All four images are 1280x960 and 140K-170K in file size. (2 (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Hey, this sounds very interesting. As a Mac (not MAC) user, I am a bit curious about the format. Will it be a PDF? That would make the book available to people using any operating system. Also, what sort of price are you estimating? If the CD (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

Are there any sets with windscreens or other large parts in colors other than trans-smoke? Specificly, trans-dark-blue and trans-fluro-orange (not the new alpha team trans-orange, the Ice Planet color) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
