Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Hello Jake, Personally, I especially despise the new reddish brown, it doesn't look brown at all. The new grays look OK, but I would still prefer it if the old grays were still in production. Regards Stephane S. (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego prices?

(...) True, it is a tax used for all kinds of expenditures. (...) That's not true. The EU gets a cut from VAT, but only a small part. I found figures for Germany in 1998 where the amount transfered to EU is about 20% of the total of VAT, and this (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) Jake, Thank you asking these questions. If I had the chance to send a message to the folks at your company, it would be in the form of two questions: 1) Did the focus groups understand the potential ramifications of their decisions? For (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Translation for 1000steine.de?

Hi, Jake, will Kate do an "official" translation of your posting (or her version for that matter) for www.1000steine.de? Or could you grant me the permission to translate and post it there? yours, Christian Treczoks (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) I dont like the "new" colors because they dont match the "old" ones. That is basically the whole reason I dislike them. I dont hate them but I certainly would keep the "old" ones too. A good idea would be to make both colors but I still would (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Without going too far down the 'I remember when' line. We all agree colour and colour range are an important aspect (even if the word is incorrectly spelt). Too me the Lego colours have also been a source of the charm of the product. The simple (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

In a rather round about way the colour changes have worked out rather well for me. When I first read about the changes here on lugnet I felt an almost physical stab of pain. It was quite irrational. At the time I couldn't really articulate why I (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego prices?

(...) I have to disagree here. They can be used for anything. It might be true for Portugal that the bulk of VAT is used to finance the Portugeese contribution to EU, but that is the choice of Portugal, it is not the case in Denmark. What is common (...)
