(...) I dunno-- "Duplo" is a brand name that lasted 25 years. Some of today's parents probably remember growing up with it. But "Explore" was only around for 2 years. Hardly as recognizable. I can't tell you how many people I have helped in the Lego aisle this past year. People looking for Duplo size Lego were confused. These people were buying products for children that were not their own. (Individuals not familiar with the product (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo)

I think that pre-school is 4-6, and when I was young, I got wonderful sets such as 145 (lots of bricks, some roofs, some windows, (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

I got the impression that a newly arrived box full of any one type of brick equals a certain number of sales, so I presume it's based on how many cups you can fill from an average box of average parts. I read in the paper today (URL) the director of lego is fired, as he should change it from a negative business to a positive, which (he) has failed. He is fires and Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen will take over, and lego will "go back to the brick", no more (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.mediawatch)
