  rainbow warrior

Does anyone know where the term "rainbow warrior" originated when speaking about building lego? So far the best i can do is trace it back to the following article from 1999: (URL) just curious... any help would rule. thanks tk (URL) Co-Curator of (...) Thanks guys, now I know what to do with these :-). Our lamented froggy friend tells me it's a MB torch, and actually it looks pretty good with a trans cone and flame in the top. Kevin ---...--- Railroad Depot kit: (URL) TOWN PLANNING information: (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

  official color reference?

With all this talk about new colors and the recent release of the official color palette from Lego now seems to be a perfect opportunity for Lego to release an official color reference. One of the major problems I see with the new colors is that (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I am 35 and have no clue what you are talking about but I can still say that color change is BAD. I too have way too much invested in my existing colors and changes would likely result in my just giving up LEGO for good. -paul (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

  Winter Details

Hi All, Although I wasn't there, I had a great time scanning through some pictures of NELUG's holiday-scene display (which took place last night): (URL) cross-posted this to .town and .trains because there are some fantastic details in there worthy (...)   Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) I recommend we drum up media attention, like what happened when Crayola changed their crayon colors a few years ago. How's this for a headline: LEGO replaces classic "Gray" and "Dark Gray" colors with "Ash" and "Gunmetal". In a cost cutting (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New colors and other info

OK, I picked up the new shuttle set. The new light grey 1x1 look bad when mixed with old 1x1s. Enough so that I won't be mixing them. The new "gunmetal" dark grey looks like the same type of new plastic, somewhat translucent, or having a higher (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New colors and other info

(...) Nah, the only boneheads are the accountants that decided to switch plastic suppliers. I too have not posted in a few years (well, maybe a cad posting now and then). I'd like to point out that when I was 10, I had two shoeboxes of lego. One had (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

Hello! (...) I disagree that new colours are a great idea, at least in general. I'm getting confused by all those new colours available in only few parts. I completely agree, though, that replacing old colours with new colours is a bad idea. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)
