 | | Boy Scouts... Lego Style
|
| Well, I am a just-turned 17 very soon to be Eagle Scout who still subscribes to the BSA official magazine, Boys Life. I was pleasantly surprised to find two Lego mentions. #1: A full page official ad for the Lego Star Wars Minis line. Page 17. #2: (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.general)

| (...) Further exploration into Dave Eaton's Turkey-Chicken design has lead me to another creature creation, and being encouraged to post it, I have. Using Ineke de Laat's peacock design as inspiration: (URL) after looking up a picture of a peacock (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

| (...) Your new MOC really mooves me. I snapped this pic at LEGOWORLD 2002, it's from (Reinhard) Ben Beneke's train layout. (URL) you enjoy, and perhaps it will help you in your story :-) -Tim (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

| Hello, Okay, so after the failure of my last thread and being stricken with a cold this week, I can honestly say I'm back on my feet again. | | | | Lego Shop-At-Home Catalogs
|
| I have been saving all Lego S-A-H catalogs since about 1997 (I tossed all prior to then) and would like to know if they are worth keeping? Most of them have my address on a label or printed directly on the catalog. I will probably keep the best ones (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

| (...) It has been a while since I've checked out your posters- very nice. They're all great, but my favorite has to be Ghostbusters. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
| | | | Is it Lego?
|
| LLL! Dear Legofans! I've a simple question: Is this suit-case Lego? I got this suit-case form my grandparents, who bought it for my parents, so it must be very old (50th). There is no Lego-logo on it, but i know that there was Lego inside and there (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
| | | | Re: Where's the Beef?
|
| (...) Udderly nice. Hey, have you maybe tried using the 2x3 inverse slope for the head. Rev.Powell uses it (see the Joseph stories), and the inverse slope works really well because of those little slits for the peg make it look kinda like eyes. (...) | | | | Where's the Beef?
|
| (...) I'll admit they're pretty thin. So I decided to beef them up. I started with the design that I used, Franklin Cain's bovine design (credit where credit is due): (URL) spent an hour on the hoof, grazing through my parts stock. After bullying (...)
