The subject header says it all really. Ive registered a ship, what happens
now? Do I need to email someone else or do I wait for a green light out of
spacedock? Perhaps call for a pilotship and tug? Anyways, just wondering.
Thanks James (who has started work on interiors and small craft)

There will be two types of e-mails that you are going to run into. In
Character (IC) and Out Of Character (OOC) --> IC e-mails are the transmissions
of ship crews, and other characters that populate the galaxy. These are fun
and very creative and I encourage you to develop some fun IC personalities for
your crew; it adds a lot of richness to the game. OOC e-mails are just players
and SMs e-mailing game information back and forth and discussion about rules
and stuff. Each sector has its own set of rules, none of them are complicated.
A lot of the rules are just for keeping game play IC. Adventures will have
their own rules sometimes, but they usually do not differ from sector rules.
Travel is simple, just e-mail a Sector Mediator (SM) when you are within a
sector where you want to go and with a link to your ships info so they can
determine the details. Travel between sectors is done the same, e-mail the GM
where you are leaving and where you are going and with some details so that he
can figure everything out. The more info you send to people in the action
e-mails the better. Your action e-mails can also include some IC material if
you want. Sometimes the SMs will send their action e-mails to you letting you
know what is happening in IC format.

Just a final note on the emails, which Avery summed up nicely. Some SMs like to
send Action Emails to players in their sector, which are basically a form that
the player fills out and returns. For instance, this is my Action Email form,
which is sent to all Arbor Sector players (comments by me are in Bold to help
people understand):
ARBOR SECTOR, USC
Universal Star Command Main Headquarters, Arbor Sector
Note: If there are any mistakes, please notify me.
basic header above, needs updating, as the USC no longer exists...
This is where I fill out information, depending on the ship and team.
Team Name: I fill in the ship name.
Last Location: The last location the ship was in.
Terrain: Space, Atmosphere, Land, Water: The current location and terrain of
the ship
Description of Area, Events, ect: IC information, such as your environment,
what your previous actions have led to, etc. Your other actions segment from
the previous week (shown below) usually dictates what happens here.
This is where, going by what is explained above, the player replies with what
to do.
REPLY:
Move (direction): What direction you want to move to
Move to (square): The square youll end up in
Other Actions: Your IC part, such as what you want your ship to do, judging on
the description above.
Weapons, Kits, Ect. Used: Optional listing of equipment youve used.
Speed: Slow (1 subsector), Medium (2 subsectors), Fast (3 subsectors): Speed
you want your ship to go. The registration dictates your maximum allowed speed
(if you only have 2 bars for propulsion on registry, you can only go medium
speed).
Map: Link to the map for quick reference, link needs updating.

Notes from the SM: Where I add OOC notes. These sometimes are about irrelevent
non-Starship things, but sometimes its usually blank.
And thats it. The player would respond, keeping the whole email intact, and
Id send em a brand new one whenever the chance came.
Welcome to Starship, please do not vomit in transit ;) .

| (...) Hey James, Glad to have you aboard. Big Starship welcome and salutations! Well, once you get a reply from Hendo, the Galactic Mediator, or Richards who does a lot of the work of posting ships, that your ship is up and posted on the Starship (...)
